I think that entrapment measures have to be taken. I really think that the police don't really have to many other options at their disposal. Its an unfortunate reality that these steps have to be taken to have these individuals caught, but if the police do not have any other recourse, they really have no choice in the matter. In my opinion, the tax payers dollars are better spent in this type of activity then others. The criminals that are selling drugs to our children and others are establishing themselves in residential areas. Entrenching themselves into neighborhoods without anyone being the wiser. If these measures must be taken to have these criminals brought to the attention of others then so be it. Your neighbor could be one and you would not know it. They are the nicest people and smart enough not to use their product.
Entrapment is when the police have someone unidentified as a police officer goes undercover to discover who is selling drugs or firearms.
I think that innocent individuals are pressured into doing things that are in their nature all the time. This would be a large group of ages as dealers require a large amount of people to sell their wares. I would assume that they would need someone in elementary, all the way to high school. Someone in the bar scene as contacts, etc...
I would assume that buy and busts are regularly set up so that they could keep up on the new dealers in the area, contacts in the schools, and those that require the efforts of transporters.
The arguments against buy and bust programs are that they would have to involve people that could involve those age groups without being interpreted as something that they are not. They could also argue that they would be possibility coercing someone who may not be interested but involved by others or by accident.
